Crochet Mini Easter Egg
I love adding extra items to my Easter gifts so I thought I would show you how to crochet these super adorable mini easter eggs. These crochet mini easter eggs are the perfect gift to give using your yarn scraps! They are easy to work up and are super quick to crochet. You can mix and match colours or just crochet them using one color! And of course, you can tailor the mini easter eggs how you like! Just have fun!
Ch – Chain
Sc – Single Crochet
Sc Dec – Single Crochet Decrease
What you’ll need:
- 5mm crochet hook
- Fibrefill, stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch maker
The finished mini easter egg stands approx. 4cm tall.
This pattern uses US terminology
This pattern will work in continuous rounds; do not join at the end of each round, instead use a stitch marker to mark each round.
Make a magic ring and slip stitch to secure it.
Round 1: Sc 3 into magic ring, do not join after rounds, pull the ring closed (3 sts).
Round 2: *Sc 2 in each st around* (6 sts).
Round 3: *Sc 1 in the next stitch, Sc 2 in following st* (9 sts).
Round 4: *Sc 1 in each of the next 2 sts, Sc 2 in following st* (12 sts).
Round 5: *Sc 1 in each of the next 3 sts, Sc 2 in following st* (15 sts).
Round 6-7: *Sc 15 around* (15 sts).
Round 8: *Sc 1 in each of the next 2 sts, Sc dec* (12 sts).
Round 9: Sc 1 in the next stitch, Sc dec* (9 sts).
Add stuffing after round 9
Round 10: *Sc dec* ( 5 sts).
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
