Crochet Striped Baby Boy Hat

Crochet Striped Baby Boy Hat

This crocheted striped baby boy hat is super easy to crochet and really quick to work up! I was a bit worried about crocheting a baby hat as the last time I have actually seen a baby was when I was a lot younger and I have no idea on how large their heads are.  But I persevered through my worried state and I was utterly surprised with how easy this baby hat was to crochet. I also wanted to add a little bit more colour to the baby hat so I decided to use a striping pattern which turned out fantastic!

I have a written pattern below for a newborn to 3 months old; 3 to 6 month old; and 6 to 12 month old baby hat. There is also a YouTube Tutorial below where I show you how to crochet the newborn to 3 month old baby hat.

Pattern Notes

– All the sizes of the baby hats e.g newborn to 3 months, 3 to 6 month etc. are worked in the round.

– Increasing the work for the 1st few rounds helps to create the crown of the hat and then the rest of the rows are creating the hat height.

– The last row is worked in the same colour as the previous row to make a border for the hat.
