Crochet Witch Hat Earrings and Necklace

Crochet Mini Witch Hat Earrings and Necklace

Halloween is just a few weeks away and to celebrate this season I thought I would crochet these gorgeous matching crochet mini witch hat earrings and necklace set. These witch hat earrings and necklace are easy to crochet and only use a small amount of yarn so this project is perfect for your yarn scraps. You will need two colours, black for the hat and purple for the band, but if you don’t have purple, you can change it to any colour you like. The witch hat jewellery is super quick to work up and only took me 15 minutes to crochet, but if you don’t like jewellery, these witch hats will make the perfect decorations around your house or a super cute applique.

You can make the mini earrings by using a 2.5mm hook or the necklace by increasing the hook size to a 3mm hook which will make the witch hat larger. Or you can be as creative as you like and change up your hook size or type of yarn until you get the perfect size witch hat.

You Will Need:

Cotton Yarn
– Colour A – Black
– Colour B – Purple
2.5mm hook for earring and 3mm hook for pendant
Yarn needle
Scissor
Earring wire
Jump wire

 Abbreviations (US Terminology)

Ch – Chain
Sc – Single Crochet
Sc2tog – Single Crochet 2 together
Sk – Skip
Sl knot – Slip knot

Row 10: Ch 1, turn your work, Sc 1 (1 Sc)

To finish the witch hat applique, ch 1, cut the yarn off and pull the loop through to secure the witch hat. You will need to make 2 witch hats using the 2.mm hook for the earrings and 1 witch hat using the 3mm hook for the pendant.
To turn the applique into earrings, attach the jump ring to the earring wire then open the jump ring and slide it through the Sc on row 10, then close the jump ring to make the mini crochet witch hat earrings.
To turn the applique into a necklace, use only the jump ring and attach it to the sc 1 on row 10, then slide a necklace chain through the jump ring to make a mini crochet witch hat necklace.
