These little yarn pumpkins are so adorable and make the perfect home decoration throughout fall! The yarn pumpkins are super easy to make and look great adorning your mantelpiece or as a table centrepiece. The majority of yarn pumpkins that I have seen recently have all been made with orange yarn but over here at All Craft TV we do things a little different so we decided to mix in some yellow pumpkins to represent butternut pumpkins. Yummy! Don’t the yellow pumpkins just pop next to orange ones?
If you think the yarn pumpkins look very similar to pom poms, you’d be right! They look similar because you wrap the yarn around your hand like what you would do to start a pom pom. The difference that sets these cute yarn pumpkins apart from pom poms is that you don’t cut the yarn when finished. You just simply tie a string around to hold the yarn in place, then move the yarn over to close the gaps. You can also get the true pumpkin feel by twirling a pipe cleaner then attaching it to the top of the pumpkin to make the vine.
